Buderus: Entry to the British Market
Buderus, the German company based in Wetzlar, has taken a major step forward in its planned expansion into the overseas market. The "blue company" has entered the British market by buying out the boiler-makers Boulter Boilers for 13.4m euros.
Located in Ipswich and employing 96 co-workers, Boulters turnover is projected to be 16m euros this year, and achieving a profit. The company has its own sales network and provides training schemes for their fitters. According to Buderus, the British heating technology market, with more than 1m wall-mounted boilers sold per year, is the most important in Europe. Buderus' stragegy will be to replace as many conventional boilers as possible with environmentally-friendly devices.
According to Uwe Lüders, the CEO at Buderus, the product range of Boulter and Buderus intermarry perfectly.
